Vaccination Clinics

The spring 2024 Covid vaccination campaign ended on 30 June 2024 and there are no further opportunities for eligible populations to get vaccinated.

Eligible populations for this season were:

  • Adults aged 75 years and over (including those who turn 75 years old by 30 June 2024)
  • Residents in care homes for older adults
  • Individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed

We are awaiting details of any autumn / winter 2024 covid vaccination campaign. Details will be published here, when available.

It is important that everyone who is eligible takes up the offer of a booster when it is available to protect themselves, their family and the people in their community.

Vaccinations for People with Learning Disabilities

Herefordshire General Practice, Healthwatch Herefordshire and Herefordshire Health Checkers have worked together to develop a video that encourages people with learning disabilities to take up the opportunity to receive vaccinations, including for Covid19.

The video features members of Herefordshire Health Checkers and provides reassurance on some of the most common worries about vaccinations expressed by people with learning disabilities.

The support available at surgeries for patients with learning disabilities is also outlined. This can include requesting reasonable adjustments such as quieter appointment times or bringing a trusted family member or friend with them to their appointment.

The Herefordshire Health Check Team says:

"Going for a ... vaccination isn't easy for everyone and it can make people feel anxious, worried, scared and unsure of what to expect.

"We have put together (a) short film(s) to tell you more about ..... vaccinations so that you know more about them and what to expect from them and why it is so important to keep your body healthy."
