Prof Tamar Thompson is committed to addressing the challenges facing patients and health professionals to support General Practice and Primary Care to ensure real, sustainable local and system progress in a fast moving NHS.

A senior clinician and behavioural therapist by professional background and an experienced NHS Non-Executive, she was a Member on the Past Prime Minister's Commission for Future of Nursing. She is Vice President of the College of Fellows of the University of Worcester, NED Board Member of ASME (Association for the Study of Medical Education) and Vice President of the Royal National College for the Blind.
