Phase 3 COVID Vaccination Planning
Following recent announcements from the Prime Minister, Phase 3 (booster) COVID vaccination planning is underway in Herefordshire.
Priority will be given to Health and Care staff, adults over the age of 50 and younger adults who have underlying health conditions.
A minimum period of six months must have passed since the patient’s 2nd jab before the 3rd jab can be administered.
Patients will be invited to attend for their jabs by their GP surgery, in priority order. Your surgery will contact you when it's your turn to come forward.
The booster programme will not affect this year’s flu vaccination roll-out. Eligible patients will be invited by their surgery to attend for their flu jab. Patients are requested not to wait to have both vaccinations together.
The winter period always brings extra pressures for the health service. By stepping forward for your vaccinations when invited, you will be helping us to help you when you need us.
