Call for healthcare professionals to take up COVID19 Vaccination Roles
Herefordshire General Practice is preparing so that we are ready to deliver a local COVID19 immunisation programme as soon as a vaccine becomes available.
We need support to do this. Taurus Healthcare (on behalf of Herefordshire General Practice) is asking for registered health professionals who are interested in getting involved to express their interest via covidworkforceherefordshire@taurushealthcare.co.uk.
All shifts will be paid (rates to be confirmed) and update and specific COVID19 vaccine specific training will be provided.
Nikki Marriott, Director of Nursing and Quality at Taurus Healthcare said:
“Whilst a COVID19 vaccine has not yet been approved, we are making plans locally to ensure that we’re ready when it is available. This includes recruiting sufficient numbers of trained staff to administer the vaccinations. That’s why we’re putting out a call today for registered health professionals to get in touch. We’re looking for colleagues who have experience of vaccinating, or willing to be trained, to put themselves forward to support this vital next phase in our local COVID-19 response.”
