Herefordshire GP Leaders Spotlighted in National NHS Confederation Webinar

Dr Lauren Parry, Medical Director, and Dr Nigel Fraser, Chairman of Herefordshire General Practice (Taurus Healthcare), were invited to present at a national NHS Confederation webinar titled “Realising the Potential of Primary Care Provider Collaboratives.”
The event, hosted by the NHS Confederation’s Primary Care Network, explored how provider collaboratives can support the sustainability of general practice and improve population health outcomes. Dr Parry and Dr Fraser shared Herefordshire’s experience of developing a place-based provider collaborative that brings together all 19 GP practices in the county.
Their presentation focused on how the collaborative model has enabled better integration of services, improved workforce resilience, and enhanced patient care through shared leadership and innovation. They also discussed the importance of maintaining the independence of general practice while working at scale.
Dr Fraser said, “We were proud to represent Herefordshire and share how our collaborative approach is delivering real benefits for patients and clinicians. It’s a model rooted in trust, shared values, and a commitment to local care.”
Dr Parry added, “This was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the work of our teams and to contribute to the national conversation on the future of primary care.”
The webinar is available to NHS Confederation members and can be accessed via the event page.
