The Taurus Healthcare Chambers Offer is a legal framework that helps to support the resilience of individual GP practices. It aims to:

  • Protect GMS contracts at practice level
  • Reduce the liability of GP partners – in particular the risks for the ‘last man standing’
  • Preserve practice relationships and identity with local communities and registered partners
  • Retain practice autonomy and individuality

Some of the services currently available to practices under the ‘Chambers Offer’ are:

  • Direct practice support
  • Professional recruitment for clinical and non-clinical staffing needs
  • General HR services
  • Shared workforce across GP practices

Case Study Examples:

Market Street / St Katherine’s Surgeries, Ledbury:

Creation of a partnership with the two surgeries. We co-produced a merger into one new ‘Ledbury Health Partnership’ surgery. Involved due diligence analysis to understand the financial, legal and quality elements of each practice, with the aim to preserve the best and build a new merged team. Significant work was involved, ably led by the St Katherine’s team, supported by Taurus Healthcare, as required.

Westfields Surgery, Leominster:

Practice Manager provision with a view to working closely with existing partners and the neighbouring practice to support the long term delivery of care for the patients of Leominster.

Wargrave House Surgery, Hereford:

Practice Manager provision with plans for a business management function.

Kington surgery:

We provided leadership input, HR and dispensing support to the practice. It now has a stable future, ably led by the local leadership team.
