Post Covid Syndrome Service

The Post-Covid service is available for patients who are struggling with multiple ongoing significant symptoms more than 12 weeks after they have had covid-19 infection.

To access the service, you should contact your surgery, who will ensure that you do not have another condition that is contributing to your symptoms. You may be asked to have blood tests, a chest x-ray or a heart scan.

If these tests are negative, you will be referred to our Post Covid Syndrome assessment service.

The service comprises a group of professionals from across Herefordshire organisations who have expertise in fatigue, rehabilitation, chronic pain, mental health and breathlessness. The assessment service will speak with you by phone or video to understand your current challenges.

This will then be presented to the expert team who will make recommendations for onward referral or invite you to be part of the peer support or rehabilitation groups provided by Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health & Care Trust
